Bush visited Ohio yesterday and talked about jobs ;-(
Here are some of the things that are impacting his standing in Ohio:
- Bush's Cleveland visit was not the top news item on most of the nightly local news in Cleveland area.
- Most of the local channels spent more time talking about higher gas prices than Bush!
- Everytime the local news covered Bush visit (TV and radio) they mentioned the large number of job losses in Ohio since Bush became president.
- The controversial republican House Speaker Larry Householder seems to be involved in a scandal about taking bickbacks. This is about to implode. Checkout..

- The republican secretary of state Ken Blackwell is about to start airing TV ads against repub governor Bob Taft's sales tax hike from last year. This ad openly criticizes repub state attorney general Jim Pitro and repub auditor Betty Montgomery. Blackwell has a statewide referendum on ballot this November. This is pitting these three high profile repubs againsts each other regarding the tax issue!! All three want to be next governor of ohio.

- The letters to the editors also show anger against Bush. Checkout a few from Plain Dealer here..

All of these things indicate a perfect storm brewing up against Bush in Ohio. If Kerry spends enough time in Ohio he could win it.
